——写给在极权与脱钩时代中挣扎的中国灵魂

“我和很多中国人一样,不愿意成为极权政府脱离世界和平的牺牲品,不想为他们做无谓的付出。”
这不是愤怒的一句话,而是清醒的一句话。是这个时代里,一个中国人对“命运被代言”的强烈拒绝。
如今的中国正站在一个“看似强大实则焦虑”的历史节点:一边是对外越来越强硬的姿态,一边是对内越来越沉重的沉默;一边喊着全球化的口号,一边用封锁和脱钩造起意识形态的围墙。可普通人呢?我们真的想对抗世界吗?我们真的愿意被推上对抗文明、脱离和平的战车吗?
不!
但我们正在为此付出代价——而且是无声的、沉默的、无处申诉的代价。
在高墙内“硬刚美国”的代价,不是发生在外交部的发言稿里,而是活生生落在了每一个普通中国人的生活中:
本来有希望送孩子出国读书的父母,忽然被告知签证越来越难,甚至要填报政治背景;原本靠外贸订单活着的中小企业,一夜之间客户撤单、关厂、裁员;年轻人刚学会写代码,AI和芯片技术却成了“封锁对象”,梦想直接化为泡沫;甚至在小县城里,一个普通人想买台国外牌子的净水器,也要花上三倍价格,还不一定买得到,甚至成为“中间商”宰割的对象。
对外“斗争”,对内“隐忍”。一旦你稍有不满,就会有人跳出来指责你“站在敌人一边”,仿佛只要你不支持硬刚美国,你就是叛徒。
但真正的叛徒,是那些把中国人推向孤立、让人民替他们幻象买单的人。
谁才是真正该为脱钩付出代价?
是那些从来不为一日三餐操心、不用为孩子未来焦虑的权贵;是那些既能把家属送去美国生孩子,又能在国内高喊“自力更生”的权贵;是那些手里握着特供资源、特权护照,随时能抽身离场的人。
而不是我们这些一边要对冲通胀、一边还要担心孩子在学校学的内容到底是“教育”还是“洗脑”的人。我们不是他们的工具,更不该成为他们“战略误判”的牺牲品。
我们需要的,不是继续配合,而是清醒悔改。
有人说,“悔改”听起来像是软弱、退让,其实恰恰相反——
悔改是灵魂觉醒后的第一步,是从谎言中脱身的勇气;
悔改,不是向西方低头,而是向真理回头;
悔改,不是为政权羞耻,而是为自己多年沉默感到羞耻;
悔改,是我们愿意看清:自己曾是那个在朋友圈转发口号、在会议上点头附和、在生活中闭口不言的人。
可悔改不只是“看见”就够了,它必须伴随着勇气和决心,尤其是在体制内多年受过“奴性训练”的人身上。
大多数“好人”就是这样:曾为了升迁忍气吞声、跟着喊口号;也曾在会议上为领导辩护、为制度找借口,甚至劝别人“识时务者为俊杰”;也曾亲眼看见信访者被推诿,被下属部门敷衍,却选择闭口不语。当你告诉自己,“反正改变不了”,可后来终究明白,这正是最深的堕落——不是作恶本身,而是对真理麻木、对良知沉睡。
悔改,就是醒过来后还敢走出去,不再装聋作哑;悔改,就是哪怕一时还无法脱离体制,也不再为它的谎言涂脂抹粉;悔改,是从内心开始说:我不愿再替这个体制洗地,我要为我的信仰负责。
信仰,不是对政权的幻想,而是对真理的忠诚。
这个时代最可怕的不是极权,而是极权“神化”——它让国家变成神圣的化身,让服从变成忠诚,让沉默变成义务,甚至让对权力的怀疑变成“原罪”。
可作为一个基督徒,我越来越明白,真正值得敬畏的,只有那位超越政权的神;真正需要效忠的,是那位说“你们中间谁愿为大,就要作众人的仆人”的主耶稣。
当一个政权以“国家利益”为名要求你闭嘴、要求你谎报、要求你站队,你要问自己:我是在服从谁?是神,还是那自称“代表人民”的系统?
我们不是颠覆者,而是想守住人的底线。
我们不是不爱国,我们是更爱真实的人;我们不是不想团结,我们是不愿再伪装的团结;我们不是不想为集体牺牲,而是不愿再为谎言流血。
为孩子、为信仰、为自己良心深处那个尚未泯灭的呼声,我们不能再沉默。哪怕今天只有少数人愿意发声,那也是黎明前第一声的公鸡;哪怕现在看似无人理解,只要神看见,我们的悔改就是有意义的。
You and I Are Not Sacrifices but Awakened Ones
——For the Chinese Souls Struggling in the Age of Totalitarianism and Decoupling
“I, like many Chinese, do not wish to become sacrificial victims of an authoritarian government’s break from global peace, nor to make futile contributions for them.” This is not a cry of anger but a statement of clarity. It is, in this era, a Chinese person’s strong refusal to have their destiny spoken for on their behalf.
Today China stands at a historical juncture that “appears strong yet is truly anxious”: on one hand an everhardening posture toward the world, on the other an everheavier silence at home; on one hand chanting globalization, on the other erecting an ideological wall with lockdowns and decoupling. But what about ordinary people? Do we really want to confront the world? Do we really wish to be driven into the chariot of opposing civilizations and abandoning peace?
No!
Yet we are paying that price—silently, in hushed tones, with no place to appeal.
Inside the high walls, “standing up to America” does not play out in Foreign Ministry press releases but lands hard in the daily lives of every ordinary Chinese person:
- Parents who once hoped to send their children abroad suddenly hear that visas grow ever harder to obtain, even requiring political background checks;
- Small and mediumsized exporters who lived on foreign orders find their customers canceling overnight, factories closing, workers laid off;
- Young programmers just learning to code see AI and chip technologies become “targets of blockade,” their dreams evaporating into bubbles;
- Even in a small county town, an ordinary person who tries to buy a foreignbrand water purifier must pay three times the price—if they can find one at all—and becomes prey to exploitative middlemen.
Externally “struggle,” internally “endure in silence.” Speak a word of discontent and someone will accuse you of “standing with the enemy”—as if failing to back “tough talk with America” makes you a traitor.
The real traitors are those who push Chinese people into isolation and force the people to pay for their illusions.
Who truly should pay the price for decoupling? Those who never worry about daily bread, who do not fret over their children’s futures—the powerful elite; Those who can send their family to give birth in the United States while at home they shout “selfreliance”; Those holding special resources and privileged passports, ready to slip away at any moment.
Not us—who must hedge against inflation while worrying whether our children’s school lessons are education or indoctrination. We are not their tools, nor should we be sacrificial victims of their strategic miscalculations.
What we need is not continued compliance but sober repentance.
Some say that “repentance” sounds weak or retreating; in fact, it is the very opposite—
- Repentance is the first step of a soul’s awakening, the courage to break free from lies;
- Repentance is not bowing to the West but returning to truth;
- Repentance is not shame before the regime but shame for our years of silence;
- Repentance is owning that we once were those who forwarded slogans in Moments, who nodded along at meetings, who kept silent in daily life.
But repentance cannot stop at recognition; it must be accompanied by courage and resolve—especially among those trained in “servile obedience” for years within the system.
Most “good people” are like this: they swallowed their pride for promotion, chanted slogans to fit in; they defended leaders at meetings, made excuses for the system, even urged others that “a wise person adapts to the times”; they watched petitioners get stonewalled, witnessed subordinates brush issues aside, yet chose silence. You may have told yourself, “Nothing can change anyway,” only to later realize that this is the deepest fall: not committing evil itself, but numbing to truth and sleeping through conscience.
Repentance means that once awakened, you still dare to step forward, no longer feigning deafness; repentance means that even if you cannot yet exit the system, you will no longer whitewash its lies; repentance means speaking from the heart: “I refuse to defend this system—I will answer to my faith.”
Faith is not a fantasy of the regime but loyalty to truth.
The greatest terror of our age is not totalitarianism itself but the “deification” of totalitarianism—making the state a sacred avatar, obedience an act of devotion, silence a duty, and doubt of power an “original sin.”
But as a Christian, I increasingly understand that the only One truly to be feared is the God who transcends every regime; the only One to whom we must pledge allegiance is the Lord Jesus, who said, “whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.”
When a regime demands your silence, demands your lies, demands you pick a side in the name of “national interest,” ask yourself: Whom am I obeying—God or the system that claims to “represent the people”?
We are not subversives but guardians of human dignity. We are not unpatriotic but lovers of genuine humanity; we are not against unity but against a counterfeit unity; we are not unwilling to sacrifice for the collective but unwilling to bleed for lies.
For our children, for our faith, for the stillbeating call in our conscience, we can no longer remain silent. Even if only a few dare to speak today, that is the rooster’s crow before dawn; even if no one seems to understand now, God sees, and our repentance has meaning.
